In this inspiring episode, we dive deep into the transformative power of self-love and body acceptance with the incredible Sarah Jane Chapman, creator of the "Be With Your Body" tarot deck. Join us as Sarah shares her remarkable journey from battling an eating disorder and managing type 1 diabetes to finding healing and empowerment through embracing her body.
Sarah's personal odyssey led her to develop the "Be With Your Body" tarot deck, a unique tool that combines the wisdom of tarot readings with the profound importance of self-love. Through candid conversation, Sarah opens up about her struggles, her body work experience, and her evolution from rejecting her own body to cherishing it without conforming to unrealistic standards.
Together, we explore the crucial topic of internal biases, dismantling the belief that certain bodies are superior to others. Sarah emphasizes the significance of acknowledging these biases in order to foster a genuine love for one's own body. We delve into the concept of embodiment as a powerful healing process and the ways in which it can be harnessed to achieve personal growth.
The conversation takes an enlightening turn as we discuss the fear that often accompanies the idea of gaining weight - a fear rooted in the potential loss of privilege and respect. Sarah's insights remind us that societal standards shouldn't dictate our worth or how we perceive ourselves.
If you're seeking inspiration to embark on your own journey of self-discovery, self-love, and empowerment, this episode is a must-listen. Join us as we uncover the transformative magic of tarot, the healing potential of embracing your body, and the invaluable lessons shared by Sarah Jane Chapman on her podcast, "Be With Your Body."
Tune in to explore the liberating path to self-acceptance and discover how tarot can be a guiding light on your way to embracing your authentic self.

Starting September 5, an incredible 10-episode limited edition series will be rolling out.
I was in a podcast bootcamp and I was inspired by so many women’s stories and the way starting a podcast was on their hearts as a way to help others.
So, I invited them on my podcast.
This series is called, “So You Want to Start a Podcast,” and it’s a place for women to share their visions, practice using their voices, uncover the most valuable parts of their journeys, and hopefully get inspired to take whatever that next step is for them to bring their vision to life.
In about 6 months, we’re going to check back in with them all and see how things are going!
It’s going to be a great series and I hope you tune in for inspiration and your own ideas!

Imaging planning your day based on the time the sun sets?!
Bea Mangar is a nomad from the island of Mauritius (vacationed on by the likes of Whitney Houston, Gwyneth Paltrow and JLo). She and her husband move homes and countries every couple of months, having no permanent home address. And inside what might sound like an incredible mix of awesome adventures and a lot of moving parts, Bea runs a successful online coaching business AND actively chooses what she calls "The Slow Life."
The Slow Life asks you to do just that - slow down, take walks, enjoy nature, indulge in naps, and especially don't forget the lounging. Bea and I talk about how choosing the Slow Life can be a major act of self-love in this world that asks so much of us. Consciously choosing rest and leisure in the moments that we're not running from one thing to another can be what allows us to keep our sanity in a constantly moving world.
We discuss RHYTHM vs ROUTINE as a way to honor the Slow Life, but also honor the ways we want to show up for ourselves and those around us. The Slow Life isn't about tapping out and letting everything go out the window. No, it's about supporting our nervous systems, our need to connect to our inner selves, and honoring that we need time to daydream if we're going to show up creatively and intentionally.
It's a beautiful conversation for anyone needing to take a breath with lots of nuggets to take away!
See Bea's gorgeous Instagram feed and learn about living the Slow Life!

I'm always thinking about the things that feel harder for me than for other creative entrepreneurs. It's likely that I have ADHD and I'm also an Enneagram 7 (Wondering what the enneagram is? Check out this episode first.) so some of things I really struggle with are:
Shiny object syndrome
Disorganization - well, constantly searching for the PERFECT organizational system for whatever I'm working on.
ALLLLLL the new ideas flooding my brain
Inconsistency
Feeling behind (because of inconsistency, which is caused by the disorganization and the shiny object syndrome)
And, you know friend, it's REALLY hard to create a sustainable expanding business when you struggle with the aforementioned things. I KNOW I'm not alone in this, which is why I'm sharing my experience, sitting here as a 43 year old and contemplating why I'm not "further along."
I share what I've come to learn and that's really & truly embracing a way of working that works FOR YOU. That's not revolutionary, but sometimes we need to be reminding of that, to be given the permission to deviate from what someone else says works for them or from what has typically been taught as the only or "right" way. We also need to be reminded that our way MIGHT BE A LITTLE SLOWER than other people's. But we need to remember that it's a lot faster to do things as they best work with our brains than to try to do it some other way that leaves us confused, disorganized, frustrated and possibly shamed.

We've all be there - kicking ass and taking names. Doing sit-ups and drinking smoothies. Taking meetings and talking masterclasses. Feeling like we've figured out the things that hold us back and we're moving into a new era - no more old habits! Onto bigger and better things and new and improved ME!!!
...and then...BOOM. We slide. We pick a fight. We let a long weekend turn into a long week and into a long month or more. We pick up our old habits again, seeking that comfort zone that inevitably just keeps us...stuck...but cozy.
Why the hell do we do that? How can we bounce back from the self-sabotage?
In this episode, I explore the concept of set-points as talked about in the book "The Big Leap" by Gay Hendricks and how we can slowly recalibrate our nervous systems to keep up with the expansion we so desperately desire. I talk about Tony Robbins' State Story Strategy concept, as well as what I've been doing to interrupt my own rut-keeping thought patterns and how you can start bouncing back from self-sabotage faster and hang in those ruts a lot less longer.
Enjoy! You are capable, you are creative, you are brave!

Dhruvi Kakkad felt all the feelings that the majority of my brand photography clients come to the table with - thoughts of "Am I worthy of investing this money into photos of myself for my business?" Worried that she wouldn't know what to do in front of the camera or how to pose. Overthinking outfit choices and more.
And once she got the photos, she went on a journey. She found herself critiquing many little things initially (as are most of our initial reactions to photos of ourselves), including the fold in her pants! After walking away from the photos for a bit, she found she was able to come back with more of an open heart and self-compassion. She had her husband go through the photos and he was able to reflect back to her the things he saw in her smile, in the squint of her eyes, that reminded him of who she truly is.
Eventually, she got the point where she says, "I just needed to pick the photos that felt like they expressed my joy, calm and genuine self." And once she landed there, she had no problem choosing a TON of favorites.
As we chat, we dive deep into what it means to bring more of who we are into our business, how that feels scary and vulnerable, but how it can bring about the biggest sense of belonging.
This episode is excellent for anyone considering a brand photoshoot for their business, anyone considering any kind of shoot simply for their soul or anyone looking to bring their essence more in alignment with their self-expression.

So, it's time for some brand photos?! Maybe your'e pivoting, starting an entirely new business or ready to uplevel, but either way you're ready for a big girl photoshoot. Yas, friend!
Ok, your friendly brand photographer is here to help you get the most of out of your time and money. I've got 4 simple steps you should take when choosing your brand photographer so that you can sit back, relax, have fun and trust that you'll be getting the best photos for you - meaning, they speak to who you are and what you offer, AND they attract your dreamiest clients.
I discuss the following four steps:
Figure out where you are in your business and what kind of brand package you'll need.
Only use a brand photographer. Skip the friend-of-a-friend's-cousin who shoots destination weddings if you want to make sure you'll get not only gorgeous photos, but USEABLE photos that tell your story & sell your products or services.
Use a discerning eye to review portfolios. Look for a style you like, variety of images, and emotions. Ask to see full galleries if the photographer's website only shows 1-3 images per shoot.
Take advantage of a 10-15 minute discovery call to make sure that you have a natural ease with the photographer. The more comfortable you are with them, the more natural you'll be for your photos.
And, if you're local to Nashville or can make your way here, consider booking a shoot with me!

In this episode, astrologer Danielle Beinstein and I dive deep into what it means to truly move into your unique soul path & how astrology can play an helpful role in that movement. How do you get off the sidelines where it can be so easy to sit and watch and plan and take notes and try to prepare for every minor and major mishap and just JUMP IN and TAKE ACTION?
We've all heard it before - how important it is to just take that first step, and then the second, and then the third. And we've heard it so many times because the majority of people DON'T DO IT, but overtime this turns into inner resentment, frustration and fear that it's all too late. The only remedy, seriously, is to simply take action. And what I have personally found in my light dabblings in astrology is that it can be immensely affirming. Whether it's the energy of the astrological season that I'm feeling (slowing down, getting a lot done, focusing on my interpersonal relationships, etc.) or an overall path ("you are made to help heal the collective"), the energy of the planets and other celestial bodies has proven to be a pretty wild motivator when it comes to me taking aligned action. I bring this up to Danielle and we discuss!
This is a fantastic episode if you're feeling like you're ready for action, but just can't seem to get out of the stuck habit of sitting on the sidelines.
